This Privacy Policy explains how ReelSaver ("we", "us") handles information when you use our website. ReelSaver lets you paste a public Instagram link and download the media to your device. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
- Links you paste. The Instagram URL you submit is sent to our server only to fetch the media you requested. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not require an account or login.
- Recent downloads. A short history of your recent downloads is stored only in your browser (localStorage). It never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time with the "Clear" button.
- Basic server logs. Like most websites, our server may temporarily process standard technical data (such as IP address and request time) to operate the service and prevent abuse.
Analytics
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Clarity captures anonymised usage data — such as clicks, scrolls and general navigation patterns — and may use cookies for this purpose. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies & advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Downloaded content
Media you download is streamed from Instagram's servers to your device. We do not host, store, or keep copies of the content you download. ReelSaver is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Please only download content you own or have permission to use, and respect the rights of creators.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data is only processed as needed to operate the service (fetching the media you requested) and to serve ads via Google, as described above.
Children's privacy
ReelSaver is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Clear your recent-downloads history any time using the "Clear" button on the home page.
- Manage or block cookies through your browser settings.
- Opt out of personalized ads via the Google links above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
